Section 02

Why pricing varies by region

PeopleCert applies regional tiering, broadly aligned with World Bank income groupings. Lower-cost regions (India, parts of the Americas, parts of Africa) see Foundation pricing in the $200 to $300 band. High-income regions (UK, EU, US, Australia, Gulf, Singapore) see Foundation pricing in the $345 to $425 band.

The exam content is identical regardless of region. Pricing is set by the candidate's booking region. Cross-region exam booking is not a permitted route to lower pricing under PeopleCert terms; the candidate must book in the region of usual residence.

Section 03

Higher-tier regional pricing

Pricing above Foundation works differently. PeopleCert makes accredited training mandatory for every Managing Professional and Strategic Leader module, so there is no exam-only fee to tier; the comparable figure is the cost of training-plus-exam. In the UK that is £1,359 inclusive of VAT per module via PeopleCert eLearning, several times the Foundation exam fee. Regional pricing follows similar tiering, and ATO bundle pricing varies considerably more by region than PeopleCert direct pricing, reflecting local instructor and venue costs.

Section 04

Pricing changes

PeopleCert reviews pricing annually and applies regional shifts when economic conditions warrant. Major changes typically take effect at the start of a calendar quarter. Refer directly to PeopleCert for live booking pricing. We update these tables quarterly or when a structural change is announced.

Section 05

Common questions

Why does the ITIL Foundation exam cost different amounts in different countries?+
PeopleCert applies regional tiering broadly aligned with World Bank income groupings. Lower-cost regions such as India, and parts of the Americas and Africa, see Foundation pricing in the $200 to $300 band, while high-income regions (UK, EU, US, Australia, the Gulf and Singapore) sit in the $345 to $425 band. The exam content is identical everywhere; only the price set for the booking region changes.
How much is the ITIL 4 Foundation exam in India?+
Representative reseller exam-only voucher pricing is around ₹19,500 (about $235), with GST applicable for corporate purchases. PeopleCert direct bundles and Accredited Training Organization packages that include training cost more, and local rates fluctuate, so treat this as a representative figure rather than a fixed rate.
Can I book the ITIL exam in a cheaper region to pay less?+
No. PeopleCert requires candidates to book in their region of usual residence, and cross-region booking to obtain lower pricing is not a permitted route under PeopleCert terms. The price you pay is set by your booking region, not by wherever the exam is cheapest.
Is the ITIL 4 exam the same in every country?+
Yes. The exam content and the certification are identical regardless of the region you book in. Regional differences are limited to price and local tax treatment (VAT or GST), not to the syllabus or the exam itself.
