ITIL exam fees in the UK
PeopleCert direct booking
PeopleCert administers all ITIL exams. For ITIL 4 Foundation, self-study and a direct exam booking is the lowest-cost route to a credential. Above Foundation, PeopleCert makes accredited training mandatory: every Managing Professional and Strategic Leader module requires either an Accredited Training Organization course or PeopleCert Official eLearning, and exam results are not released without proof of completed training. There is no exam-only voucher for modules above Foundation.

Module prices (Create, Deliver and Support; Drive Stakeholder Value; Digital and IT Strategy verified June 2026) are uniform across all ITIL 4 Specialist and Strategist modules: £1,359 for eLearning with the exam, or £682 for an exam retake once training is already completed. VAT on corporate purchases is recoverable in the usual way.

Named Accredited Training Organizations publishing UK Foundation bundle prices in April 2026. Reporting these prices is descriptive, not endorsement; this site does not maintain an ATO roster and does not rank providers.

Each price was read from the named provider's public website in June 2026. Purple Griffon also lists an exam-only bundle at £495+VAT and a 3-day classroom course at £975+VAT. ILX Group and Global Knowledge, named in earlier editions, are not included here: ILX now publishes ITIL Version 5 courses with prices on enquiry, and Global Knowledge (Skillsoft) does not display a UK list price. ATO pricing fluctuates; refer to provider websites for current quotation.
VAT framing
Individual self-study purchases at the PeopleCert direct price are typically VAT-applicable. Corporate purchases of ATO bundles include VAT in the listed price or as an explicit addition. For VAT-recoverable businesses the effective net cost on a £1,650+VAT bundle is the same £1,650. For non-recoverable contexts (sole traders below threshold, exempt sectors) the gross price is the comparison point.
